The Harvard Apparatus Fluovac system, incorporating the Fluosorber canister (not included), combines small animal anaesthesia with operator safety. The Fluovac provides a sensible answer to waste anaesthetic gasses in the operating room. This system was specifically designed to deliver anaesthetic gasses though a central mask and simultaneously remove gasses by suction from the outer mask. The fluovac is quiet must for all veterinary operating theatres. Economi easily adaptable, to all anaesthetic machines. Each Fluovac system includes a size 1 mask suitable for anaesthetising small rodents. and psychomotor changes have all anaesthetic vapour before it is giving it a much longer time span between changes scavenging products available. The Fluosorber consists of a canister containing activated carbon; this unit sits on top of the fluovac and adsorbs anaesthetic gas extremely efficiently, protecting you and your staff from dangerous waste gasses. Genetic mutations, cancer, complications during pregnancy, hepatic and renal disease, immunological effects and psychomotor changes have all been linked with exposure to trace anaesthetic gasses. Because most halogenated anaesthetic gasses can’t be detected unless in high concentrations, proper scavenging is essential.

Harvard Apparatus is pleased to introduce the new Fluovac Mouse Mask, a single arm coaxial mask for the delivery and scavenging of anesthetic gases utilizing the Fluovac System.

A most useful addition to our gas scavenging range, the valve redirects gas from the FLUOVAC mask when out of use for short periods. The advantage is that neither the Vaporizer setting nor the flowmeter setting have to be altered when an animal is removed from the mask thus saving time having to reset the previous settings. Also, if the gas flow has inadvertently been set a little high then it could overcome the scavenging action at the mask when an animal is removed - the use of the valve prevents contamination of the area by stopping the gas reaching the mask.

Hose to pin index for Oxygen

Harvard Apparatus has developed a simple device, used to convert any anaesthetic trolley or bracket system with pin index regulator, to be able to receive gas supply from a wall mounted piped gas supply. Simply connect one end to your wall mounted supply, and then insert the specially designed pin index block into the pin index socket on your regulator. The length of high pressure hose supplied is 2m (please ask for the part numbers for alternative lengths of hose and gasses.)

This cylindrical acrylate chamber is ideal for anesthetizing small animals such as rodents, guinea pigs, and birds. It has two, 1/4 inch barbed hose fittings. One for gas delivery and one for gas scavenging. The gas delivery barb directs the flow of anesthetic gas towards the bottom of the chamber. The chamber has a routed top that ensures a perfect fit. There are no corners so cleaning is easy. Includes 10 ft. of 0.25" ID tubing.

CANINE VENTILATION/ANESTHESIA MASKS.

This masks provide a convenient way of providing artificial ventilation or administration of anesthetic gases to dogs. They are constructed of rugged transparent polycorbonate.One end has standard 15mm (3/5 in) taper for connection to anesthesia tubing. while the other end has a soft flexible rubber diaphragm that molds itself to the contours of a dogs snout.
