 BENCH TOP PH METER HI 2210 & HI 2211

HI 2211

HANNA’s new HI 2211 is a microprocessor based pH, mV and temperature benchtop meter. It features an extra large LCD that displays pH or mV and temperature simultaneously. The extra large LCD (6.25” x 1.5”) can be viewed from a distance in a lab.

This instrument can measure pH from -2.00 to 16.00 and can be calibrated at 1 or 2 points using 5 standard buffers. During calibration, prompts on the LCD guide the user through the process. Temperature compensation of the pH measurement can be automatic or manual between -9.9 to 120°C.

HI 2211 features a dual mV range (±399.9 or ±2000 mV) which can be used for ISE measurements, ORP measurements or to check the offset and slope of the pH electrode. Other features include a measurement memory function and a reading stability indicator. The HI 2211 is supplied with an HI 1131B glass body combination pH electrode, HI 7662 temperature probe, electrode holder, power adapter and buffer solutions to get you started.

HI 2210

For less demanding applications, HANNA’s HI 2210 includes all of the features of the HI 2211 with the exception of mV mode.

Calibration CheckTM pH Meters

A pH electrode, when it is properly manufactured and is kept clean, will retain its physical characteristics for a long time. A common problem associated with pH measurements is the use of a pH electrode that has not been properly cleaned. This is very important because during calibration the instrument assumes that the electrode used is clean, and the standardization curve created during the calibration process will remain the same until the next calibration. pH meters on the market today will allow an offset of approximately ± 60 mV. The deviation from 0 mV is not unusual; in fact, it represents the true characteristics of the pH electrode. The deviation from 0 mV becomes a problem if it is the result of calibrating a dirty electrode.

HI 9812-0 and HI 9812-5 are easy to use portable instruments for field measurements of pH, conductivity and TDS in water conditioning applications. Reduce your necessary tool set for field water-quality analysis. HI 9812-0 measures pH from 0.0 to 14.0. This meter also checks conductivity and TDS from 0 to 1990 mg/L, ideal for the water conditioning field. Calibration has been simplified to one point for both pH and conductivity/TDS modes.     pH electrodes are commonly designed to produce and output signal equal to 0 mV when immersed in a solution with pH 7. But a constant output value at pH 7 occurs as a result of certain adverse events, such as:

    • A broken bulb in the pH electrode • A short circuit in the cable or connector • Magnetic force leakage in the cable or connector (for example, in case of excessive humidity)

    In these situations, the instrument displays a false reading at pH 7 and the user may not be aware that corrective measures are necessary; particularly if the user is anticipating a pH neutral reading. To avoid this problem, HANNA instruments® developed F.S.T. technology for HI 9813-6.

    With this special security system, a system failure will force a fixed value close to pH 4, rather than pH 7, and render the problem clearer to the user.

    For added confidence in your measurements, the meter is equipped with two Lades and a "CHECK" button. While pressing this button, upon immersing the electrode in the Cal-Check solution HI 50021P, one of the LEDs will light up to indicate the status of the meter. The green LED ("OK") indicates the probe is working correctly, while the red LED ("C&C" Clean & Cal) indicates the electrode needs attention

    HI 99163 is a specific instrument for the pH analysis of meat products. The specially designed electrode FC 232D incorporates many essential features to perform reliably without damaging the sample.
