Owing to the variety and accuracy of the instruments, spectroscopes are widely used in laboratory and school for investigation to emission and absorption spectra of metal sparks, Geissler tubes and the analysis of color flames. Also this is used for the absorption test of colored solutions and filters for testing of blood and for determination purpose.

This is used in a very simple quick way for the observation of emission spectra, and a wavelength scale may be attached to read the position of spectrum lines or absorption band in wavelength.
