The HI 99300 is an innovative meter that combines measurements for Low Range conductivity, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids) and temperature, housed in a water-resistant case that is rated for IP67 conditions.
The multi-functional HI 76306 probe measures EC/TDS and temperature in one rugged unit. EC (or TDS) and temperature readings are displayed on the LCD simultaneously. Symbols and messages on the LCD indicate the meter status and guide the user through operations. At start-up, the meter shows the remaining battery percentage and when a low battery condition is detected, a battery symbol appears on the LCD to advise the user that only a few hours of working time is left.
The meter is also provided with BEPS (Battery Error Prevention System), which turns the meter off when the battery level is too low, to assure reliable readings. Calibration is a single point, automatic procedure and measurements are automatically compensated for temperature variations. HI 2300 performs EC, TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), percentage of NaCl and temperature measurements. The auto-ranging feature for EC and TDS measurements automatically sets the resolution suitable to the tested sample.
All measurements can be temperature compensated at 20 or 25°C and the compensation coefficient is selectable by the user. The automatic temperature compensation can also be disabled for measuring the actual conductivity value. The stability indicator on the LCD ensures accuracy.

The casing has been shaped in such a way as to ease air bubbles out. The temperature sensor is exposed and provides faster response time. Temperature effects your conductivity measurements by 2% per degree centigrade. Automatic Temperature Compensation assures that all readings are corrected to compensate for the effect of temperature. An LCD displays the digits clearly so they can be read at virtually any angle. If calibration is necessary simply submerge the electrode into calibration solution, and turn the trimmer at the back of the tester. Make sure when you clean your meter you use an electrode cleaning solution. This meter uses 1500ppm calibration solution.
